Clicks and Pops all over the place. I would go for an original or the 2015 release over this.
Amerikan_Volga
Pretty crappy sounding - lots of surface noise and a few heavy pops and clicks. Packaging is decent, but then so again was the standard CD release. I would have expected more from Pearl Jam than condensing the CD booklet into a 4-per page vinyl booklet. All around pretty lame. I thought CDs were like bad acid, not for consumption?

At the time of release I bought Vitalogy on CD (after a couple of bad experiences with vynils I had given up and started to build a CD collection instead). The CD was so beautifully crafted, looking like an old book, that I always thought the LP version would be incredible (Spin the black circle, remember?). I received this LP reissue as a gift and, while I must say the sound is good, I am not impressed by the art (which is the same as the original issue, I found out later). Beware, instead of a bigger version of the CD, the LP has just images the same size as the CD, all printed together on 8 pages. It doesn't look like a book at all. Vitalogy deserved better, I am truly dissapointed.

That's actually how the artwork was printed on the original 1994 pressing of the album. Yes, it would be cool if each page of the CD booklet would've been enlarged but at least they kept it true to the original pressing.

Pretty sure new pressings of this are different from the 2011 cut. I just bought this and VS. They are not pressed at United and they are not cut by WG/NRP. Instead they are pressed at MPO and they have an SST in the deadwax. There is another mark in the deadwax, but I can not make it out.

I have a friend who runs a record store. Recently, he sold a copy of this album and it was returned because the B-Side of the first album contained a side of a Foo Fighters album. Has anyone else had or heard of this being an issue with this album?
რฉςh
No but that's awesome. Which album? PJ and Foo Fighters are a nice combo.
Nern
the second lp has the same label(third side) on both sides.
interactive man
mine also has DIVISION ONE lable on both sides! and it has WG/NRP, is this the same one ? help?

Suicide as the last manifestation of freedom in a life not controlled by ourselves? Demonstration of weakness under increasing pressure? Or simply an ineluctable act? Fragments of tormented thinking about death. Definitive grunge reflection about discomfort  -as much as Dirtand In Utero -, Vitalogy is the most disturbing and abrasive Pearl Jam album. Gunshot that killed Cobain resounds in rusty music of the band, closer to independent noise rock as never before. Dissonant slivers emphasizes the anxiety in this album that celebrates freedom through surges as much dramatic as romantic. Death is the last exit to life? No answers. Only faded photos floating on Immortality melodies, blurry pictures in which Vedder let his conflicts flow, with an intimacy that reminds Neil Young. Oblivion attraction is irresistible. Some die just to live.
Zeueli
purchased this yesterday and there's a bit of distortion on side A but the rest of the record sounds good.
Fenrinos
Just opened a fresh copy of this release. I'm experiencing constant pops and clicks through the entire album. Anyone else have this on this 180 gram reissue?
Kagalkree
Yes. Mine sounds horrible. Just ordered an original press and look forward to hearing this classic snap crackle and pop free!
Thetahuginn
I've picked up a copy of this record and had a poor experience with the sound, but in a different way than you describe. Mine sounds like it is being played over a phone line with a poor connection; muddy and quiet. I'm glad I got it at a tag sale instead of paying full price, but it still sucks to know that a record that would sound so good on vinyl doesn't.
Doulkree
I found this one to be noisy and the quality was subpar to my original pressing. I'm can't imagine this was all analogue like the original pressing. Shame the original wasn't spread over 2LP's like this one, would have made it even better. Perhaps if this had been pressed at RTI or QRP it would have been of better quality.
Uranneavo
Remastered should of been a warning..
Ochach
I bought this album a couple of months ago, and the first LP has the side A center sticker on both sides of the record. A missprint I guess. Anyone else out there with the same??
Uylo
I have this album. On A Side printed 'DIVISION ONE' and On B Side Printed 'DIVISION TWO'.I think you have missprinted records.
