Part of the late 1960s blues rock movement, Savoy Brown primarily achieved success in the United States, where they promoted their albums with non-stop touring. Their 1969 single, Train to Nowhere with singer Chris Youlden, was viewed by many as the last gasp of the blues scene in Great Britain. Although Savoy Brown never reached much acclaim in their home nation, they developed a loyal core following in the United States. Again, the vocal on Troubled sounds much like Creedence's John Fogarty. Savoy Brown are one of those rock n roll blues boogie bands that either make sense, and youre a full fledged fan, or they hit you again and again with some really tasty singles that just leave you scratching your head, wondering whats going on. If the latter is the case, then you probably feel the same way about Foghat. Never the less, Savoy Brown first came to my attention with their 1971 album Street Corner Talking, which featured two killer songs, Tell Mama, and a blistering cover that is actually more a remake of the classic I Cant Get Next To You, by the Temptations. so I had h
