Album
Album 1999 15 Songs. Long Term Side Effect Vic Godard. Term Side-Effect. After taking a long powder from music, punk-turned-Sinatra-wannabe Vic Godard returned to the fray in 1998 with an album that evinced less ambition than his earlier attempts at creating new lounge pop standards. However, it's the more relaxed atmosphere that's one of Long Term Side-Effect's greatest charms. In 1998, Godard released the album Long Term side-Effect on Tugboat Records. A 2002 album recorded by Godard, Sansend, was released under the name Subway Sect, rather than his own. Godard's label Motion Records released Singles Anthology in 2005, compiling all the A-sides and B-sides from Godard's career. In 2007, as Subway Sect, Godard recorded the songs that had been intended for the debut LP back in 1978, and released them as 1978 Now. 1986, Rough Trade. End of the Surrey People 1993, Postcard. Vic Godard is not limited to one style: Starting off with a singersongwriter sound he plunged the London mid-70's punk-scene accompanied by a bunch of south-west London soul boys: Subway Sect. Soon he turned to a more classic popjazz approach with a 3040's wink: Swing. and what not to follow. VIC GODARD - Long Term Side-Effect CD - Indie Alternative Punk Rock New Wave Condition: Brand New.
